Where is Horizon Village Terrace House located?

We are located at 291 Elm Street in Buffalo, NY 14203.

How long will I be there?

Your length of stay is determined by your specific needs.

What types of services will I receive during my stay?

We offer individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, drug screening, education regarding addiction and disease management, health education, continued medication assisted treatment, medical evaluation and follow-up as needed, self-help involvement, relapse prevention, overdose prevention education, yoga therapy, recovery coaching, therapy dog program and discharge planning.

How do I pay?

Insurance eligibility verification is required. Your insurance may cover some or all of treatment. Those without insurance will be reviewed and can meet with our financial case manager to discuss further options.

Am I allowed visitors?

Yes. As clients transition to stabilization, visitation is assessed by progress made in treatment and sober supports being involved in that process. Once approved, supervised visitation happens twice a week. Families are required to attend family education seminars prior to visitation. We also offer family therapy sessions as well.

What happens after I am stable?

Discharge planning begins at the time of your first assessment and continues throughout treatment. When you are discharged you will be referred to the appropriate level of care for your needs, which may include admissions to the inpatient rehab program, a more intense residential treatment program such as Horizon Village, or outpatient services. We stress the importance of continuing treatment post-discharge and the development of an effective relapse prevention plan.
