Michelle’s career with Horizon is truly admirable. Michelle began her career, 34 years ago, as a counselor in the day treatment program, and was promoted several times over the years to various clinical and managerial positions after returning to school for certification as an addiction counselor. Today, as Vice President of Administrative Operations, Michelle is responsible for the administrative and managerial oversight and leadership across the entire corporation.

This includes secretarial support services, administrative operations at 17 clinics, the supervision of the admission department and all referral relationships, the Vocational Program and all Health Home related development and implementation. In addition, Michelle oversees Horizon’s collaboration with the drug courts and is the leader on healthcare reform, DSRIP and Electronic Medical Record upgrades and operational change management.

Michelle graduated from Erie Community College with a degree in Occupational Therapy, and graduated Cum Laude with a BS degree in Social Sciences from SUNY at Buffalo. She also graduated from the Canisius Center for Entrepreneurship Key Managers Program, which focused on enhancement of managerial skills and talents. Michelle has also completed several management classes in leadership and communication through the University at Buffalo’s Institute for Administrative Management.
