Buffalo, NY (June 1st 2023) – Today Horizon announced the appointment of Erin DiGirolamo as CEO of the Horizon Corporations upon Anne Constantino’s retirement. Erin has been an integral part of the leadership team since 2006, serving as CFO and most recently COO.

Erin’s roots are in finance as a CPA, but she is highly regarded in the behavioral health care industry as a skilled and thoughtful executive. “The moment I stepped into Horizon 17 years ago, I knew I found some place special. I fell in love immediately with the people and the mission,” said DiGirolamo in her letter to their 800 employees today. “We have work to do. Demand outpaces resources, our patients are sicker, and funding is inadequate. However, with the right people, truly anything is possible. I challenge you all to help write the Horizon story,” continued DiGirolamo.

Brandy Vandermark-Murray, who has been at Horizon for 17 years, will serve as President of Horizon Corporations. She most recently served as Sr. VP of Operations, overseeing operations for all patient services. She is a licensed mental health counselor who has served in various clinical and operational leadership positions throughout her tenure at Horizon.

“Addressing the mental well-being of our community has never been more important than now. I have been honored to do incredible work in the field, but there is so much more we can and will do. I am grateful to be able to lead Horizon in this next chapter, expanding our services and mission to those in need.”

Horizon’s Board of Directors and Senior Leadership team have been actively developing the succession plan for many years and are excited about the future leadership team for Horizon.

“Under Anne’s leadership, Horizon has long employed a succession planning protocol, so when Anne began discussing her retirement, we strategically enacted that process,” said Pete Grum, Chair of Horizon’s Audit Committee and long standing board member. “It was a natural conversation that Erin and Brandy would assume the leadership roles necessary to guide the company into the future. I have no doubt they will continue to build their team while supporting thousands of people who truly need the life-saving services Horizon provides. The company and community are blessed to have strong leadership in the past and for the future of Horizon.”
