Co-dependency services for family members and significant othersWhen a loved one has a chemical dependency, family members and significant others often experience significant anxiety, depression, worry, guilt and helplessness in their attempts to help. Horizon provides services for persons coping with their loved ones’ chemical dependency. We assist family members and significant others in coping with the stresses of having a loved one with chemical dependency, and help to develop strategies to support their recovery. Treatment focuses on addressing family members’ emotional needs, understanding and acceptance of the limits of their ability to help and recognizing and discontinuing behaviors that are well-intended but may undermine their loved one’s recovery. Co-dependency services are available through our facility at 1370 Niagara Falls Boulevard.
