As the Vice President of Employee Services, Veronica Meldrum creates and implements HR strategies that are aligned with the company’s business strategy. Her team focuses on talent recruitment and development, employee engagement, benefits and compensation, and HR compliance.
Veronica has spent her career in the healthcare field, having held positions on both the provider and payer sides of the industry. She joined the Employee Services team in February 2015, however, she is not new to the Horizon family. In the late 1990s, Veronica spent 5 years with Horizon in an operations management capacity. Veronica then took the opportunity to work in a managed care setting, where she had the ability to contribute to many aspects of the corporation such as operations, product development, sales and marketing. Her continued interest and dedication to working with people coupled with her business experience helped her to advance to a career in the direction of an HR profession.
Veronica holds a master’s degree from the University at Buffalo. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and is a retired Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).
Veronica resides in Amherst with her husband and three children.
